She was the daughter of John and Mary Herron Gardner. Mary Herron Gardner placed tombstones at the grave sites of her husband John, daughter Mary Gardner Harding and mother-in-law Elizabeth Gardner. March 3 1797 age 3 yrs 1mo 22 days son of Richard and Lydia (Chapman) Gardner, Sr. Note: First person to be buried in this cemetery no tombstone found son Chapman died Nov 1 1829 son of Stedman and Elizabeth Gardner Chapman supposedly Stedman and Elizabeth were first cousins Stedman had died Dec 5 1823 (his burial unknown) Elizabeth remarried to Elisha Sutton (brother-in-law of Elizabeth's sister, Harriet) Information according to the "Gardiner-Gardner Genealogy" complied by Clara Gardner Miller and John Milton Stanton 1937 page 80 no stone found Betie Chapman d. Nov 1829 Information according to the "Michael Shoemaker book" page 477 according to book, possibly Betsey daughter of John and Elizabeth (Mumford) Gardner There are several field stones and a stone which I am still trying to decipher.
