The United Givers Fund is an organization in Newton that raises money for local non-profit entities and charitable organizations. A large percentage of the proceeds from the UGF drive stay within the county, and many local organizations benefit from UGF funds. “The money is donated primarily by individuals, businesses and churches, but anyone can give,” “Instead of the money going to a national office first like United Way, it stays in the community.
