Hickory is Located just off I-20 and on Highway 80. The town of Hickory has a population of approximatley 450
The old Hickory School site now houses The Hickory Chamber of Commerce and the building is used as a
community center and rented to the public for special occasions. The school site also is the location of
the annual Hickory Day celebration which is held the first saturday in October each year. This festival includes
a car show, a tractor show, arts and crafts vendors, entertainment and the local Hickory Fire Department
provides food the event. The Greater Hickory Chamber also host the annual Christmas Parade in downtown Hickory
on the first saturday afternoon in December.
