The Newport Elementary School Foundation (NESF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that funds programs to enhance the educational experience of the kids at Newport Elementary.  State budget cuts to education have meant that non-profit organizations such as the NESF have had to fill in the financial gap so that our students can continue to be exposed to art, music and technology in a meaningful way.  Our mission is to ensure that our children receive the best elementary education possible, despite budget cuts and leaner times. 

The NESF spends its funds on programs and faculty that would otherwise not be available due to budget constraints.  The programs that the NESF has committed to for the 2011-2012 school year include, but are not limited to:

• Literacy & Mathematic Enrichment
• Differentiated Guided Instruction Teachers - 2 part-time credentialed teachers to support all classrooms
• Kindergarten Aid
• The Art Masters Program
• Extended Library Hours
• Drama & ACE Programs
