Welcome to Newnham Primary School’s website, I hope you find it useful and informative. The intention is to give you a flavour of our school.
We are a rural, village primary school of 89 pupils, two miles outside the town of Daventry. We are a very happy school and parents know that their children are part of a strong and caring community.
At Newnham we place children at the centre of all we do and each child is valued and treated as an individual.
We are committed to promoting the highest possible levels of achievement for all learners. We provide a learning environment and school ethos in which children can flourish and develop an enthusiasm for learning along with a desire for personal excellence. We believe in quality and care in everything we do; our core aim is to ensure that all children achieve their full personal, social and academic potential.
Children make good progress in all our classes and we consistently achieve standards which are above national averages. In our recent inspection, Ofsted judged that in our good and rapidly improving school, ‘excellent attention is paid to the pupils’ well-being’ and commented on our ‘overwhelming ethos of care and support that enables the pupils to thrive in both their academic and personal development’.
