About the club

The New Milton and Barton-on-Sea Hard of Hearing Club is a self-help club for people with hearing difficulties.

Membership's not restricted though - hearing people are welcome too!

We meet at the Forest Arts Centre on the first Tuesday of every month except August, 2.30-4.30pm.

We provide social facilities for members, with an excellent programme of talks,
ranging from general interest to advice and information.

The centre has an induction loop system to enable members to hear.

Entrance fee is £1 to members, £2 to non-members, and membership is £5 per year.
Tea, coffee and biscuits are available from the centre.

We also run a free battery clinic to replace batteries and tubing in hearing aids.

The Club is affiliated to Hampshire & Isle of Wight Deaf Association and Hearing Concern.

We are very keen to recruit new volunteers for our battery clinic.
Can you help?
From March 2009, we will also need a new secretary. You don't need
to be hard of hearing or able to use a computer - we just need someone who's enthusiastic, helpful and able to publicise the club
and its aims, although it would be helpful if you are able to attend
the club meetings too, so you're familiar with it.

If you're interested in helping with either of these, please contact us.
