Welcome to my Rotoverter pageUpdates... I rewired my alternator to the following: And here were my results: Input: 5a @ 119vac = 595w Output: 11a @ 217vac = 2387w Gain: 1792 watts, or 401% efficiency! Problems:
I cant 'extract' or 'use' this power yet, but i haven't gotten a
resistive load equal to the resonance of the alternator. I can, however
turn the lights on for a brief moment (80 watts) My Rotoverter setup details 1/26/08 Read my Report, any errors, or mistakes, or disagreements, feel free to comment: aadee92 at gmail.com http://docs.google.com/Doc?id=dgwjfdv6_6d2qs45ft
Alternator and Motor Specs: (The motor is 5 HP.) --------------------------------------------------------------Hello, can someone please help me, I am attempting to replicate the Rotoverter, but my attempts are still unsuccessful (in achieving OU). I will be totally honest, and tell you that i am a 15 years old. Aside from those facts, here is my setup details. The PM is working fine: But i cant get my alternator to work well enough to achieve OU.
I have heard many different things about
the Alternator; and am beginning to get overwhelmed. I have tried many
wiring configurations, and none of them work as expected. I will tell
you that i haven't read everything there is on the rotoverter, but i
have read hundereds, if not thousands of pages on it.
My first alternator wiring was as follows:
Only after adding 100mfd between 1-2,
and 1-3 was i able to turn the lights on between 3-2. I used 3x 100watt
light bulbs, to create a 300watt load. My results: Three very dim light
bulbs powered by 150w of input, and a strained PM.
My second alternator setup was as follows:
I got self excitation at 117.5 mfd: But my output vs input wasn't good.
