- “Creative property owners must be accorded the same rights & protection resident in all other property owners in the nation.” – this includes all forms of art (sculptures, photos, paintings etc.)
- A copyright is a kind of property. It can be owned & sold, & the law protects against theft.
- We now have the ease of digital cameras-- “Does anyone believe the government should ban digital cameras just to support Kodak?”
- “Cut & paste” -- anyone can simply put a whole project together that other people have already done. Digital millennium copyright act 1998. “To criminalize the manufacturer & distribution of any technology or tool designed to circumvent encryption technology (ex. Digital water marks or fine art.)”
- Art & all forms of art are under copyright until 70 years after the artist death. Then its free to business & public or until some else buys the rights.
