Instructions in English at the bottom of the page.

1.

- 2 big thumb loops wrapped around the thumb (do them with whatever way you prefer).

3.

- Photos 2 and 3 are of same phase, just from different angle.
- Push the needle under two small loops, on the right side of the thumb.

5.

- 3rd thumb loop. Leave the newest one always at the bottom, away from the nail.

7.

- 1 big thumb loop on the needle
- Pick up 2 small loops, on the left side of the thumb.
- When doing the very first stitches, there are not yet "two small loops" behind the thumb, but do push the needle where you best can. The pattern will grow soon.

9.

- Tip of the needle has been twisted, and thumb loop dropped off.

11.

- While pulling the yarn through, rub your forefinger and thumb against each other gently. The new stitch takes its place easier, and it will be flatter.

Diagram and photos in German language.

Thin, pliable, but dense structure. Rows are higher than with other stitches, about 2,5 cm. Made in two phases, first on the right side of the thumb, then on the left. The diagram may look discouraging at first, but the stitch is actually a lot easier than what appears :) .
