NES is serving over 90 students in summer school.  The grant that NES received pays for the staff, transportation, and materials for the five week summer session.  In order to build skills, have some enrichment fun, and allow children to enjoy their summer vacation, the summer program is very flexible.  Most students are coming for 6 hours a week throughout the five weeks. They are getting challenged in reading, their identified interests and skill needs, and in a theme each week.
