Buceo Costa Nerja is the leading PADI 5 Star IDC Gold Palm dive centre in Axarquía, the eastern part of the Malaga region in Andalusia. We provide scuba diving and PADI dive courses on Costa del Sol and Costa Tropical in southern Spain.
Located on the popular Burriana Beach in Nerja, we are renowned for our high standards of safety and customer care. We offer PADI dive programs for all levels of divers, from Discover Snorkeling trips and Discover Scuba Diving, to Instructor-level PADI courses. For all our dive programs and scuba diving courses we offer complete dive equipment rental and insurance.
As a legal requirement for scuba diving in Spain, all divers must be in possession of a medical certificate stating fitness for diving. The medical certificate must be no older than two years. Buceo Costa Nerja has its own doctor specialised in hyperbaric medicine who can do your medical examination at the dive centre upon appointment. The necessary form can be downloaded here. Buceo Costa Nerja has the necessary licences to enter and scuba dive in "Acantilados de Maro - Cerro Gordo", on both the Malaga and the Granada province sides. Buceo Costa Nerja is approved as a dive operation by the Junta de Andalusia with Turismo Activo #AT-MA-00024. All our staff are officially certified in "Soporte Vital Básico" by Semicyuc (The National Plan of CPR). All Instructors, Assistant Instructors and Divemasters have licences as either "Instructor Nacional" or "Monitor Nacional", in addition to their PADI ratings. Buceo Costa Nerja also has the official recognition as an Air and Nitrox Filling-station.
All of which is necessary to legally operate as a dive centre and teach scuba diving in Spain.
