 Nepal will face UAE in semi final

Nepal defeated Kuwait comprehensively by seven wickets in their last leaguea match of ACC elite cup. After this victory Nepal remain only unbeaten team in the tournament. Nepal have won all the match and gain 8 points. Nepal will meet probably the most strong team of the tournament UAE. Although UAE have lost a match. They are the best team in the tournament. UAE finish second in the group with 6 points. Afghanistan topped the group with also 6 points because of the net run rate. They will face second of the group B Hongkong in the semi. Nepal v Singapore

A 62–run partnership between Paras Khadka and Shakti Gauchan took Nepal to a six-wicket victory over Singapore at the Kinrara Oval. With this victory Nepal are in the semi-finals of the ACC Trophy Elite.

Taking first use of the track, Singapore were also up against a team which fielded superbly and allowed their batsmen very little opportunity to be aggressive. Singapore just couldn't get any momentum going at all and with the top-order dismissed within the 13th over the remaining batsmen were as much intent on survival as run-scoring.

Qatar have no answer against Nepal

Nepal got yet another victory in ACC Elite trophy. Qatar decided to bat first after winning the toss.It is proving to be the good decision but Nepal got first wicket after 46 runs.Afterwards wickets keep on falling on regular intervals and Qatar were restricted to the total of 171 off 47.2 overs. Basanta Regmi and Shakti Gauchan took 3 wickets each.

 In reply Nepal got poor start. They lost opener Paresh Lohani in fifth ball of the first over.At one time Nepal were 46 for 3. Then inform batsman Sarad and Gyanendra Malla took responsibility. Sarad scored 51 from 104 balls and Gyanendra scored 76 from 82. They batted till the end and Nepal got the target in 37.3 overs.

Shakti Gauchan became the Man of the Match for his economical bowling. He gave only 25 runs in his spell of 10 overs taking 3 wickets.Nepal will face Singapore on Monday.

Nepal defeated Hongkong

Nepal, disciplined in batting, bowling and fielding took advantage of every Hong Kong error to win their ACC Trophy opener at the Selangor Turf Club by 44 runs. “We just didn’t turn up today,” said Hong Kong coach Aftab Habib. Nepal’s margin of victory pretty much equated to the number of runs Hong Kong conceded with their lackadaisical fielding.

Nepal makes it three in a row

The Himalayan Times, Kathmandu, July 21:

Nepali national cricket team registered a comfortable four-wicket win over Sri Lanka Cricket Board-XI in their friendly match at the Moratuwa Stadium in Colombo on Monday.

The Nepali team had also won two previous matches. Put into bat first, the hosts were dismissed for 149 runs in 49 overs. Nepal scored 153-6 in the 38th over in reply. Nepali skipper Binod Das and Raj Kumar Pradhan claimed three wickets each. Amrit Bhattarai also took two while Sanjam Regmi and Basant Regmi pocketed one wicket each.
