THE WHALLEY PICKWICK FESTIVAL WILL BE HELD ON THE 2ND DECEMBER 2010 CELEBRATING CHRISTMAS 2010 IN A FUN AND FESTIVE ATMOSPHERE...................

WHAT IS WHALLEY PICKWICK FESTIVAL
 
Whalley has an annual Christmas event, and in 2010 this will be known as the Whalley Pickwick Festival. The village will play host to this years event on the 2nd December providing a mammoth festive street fair, starting of the festive period in the Ribble Valley with fun, style, fare and entertainment.
 
The village will provides a traditonal based festival with brass bands, steam organs, fire-eaters, jugglers, choirs all entertaining the crowds on the street and from the main event stage.
 
Whalley Pickwick Festival will officially started at 6pm when a famous guest opens the nights events and entertainment.  The local shops stay open until 9pm, and stalls throughout the village offering local food, gifts and games.  The event is sponsored by a number of local and national companies. The aim of the event is to raise thousands of pounds for local charities.
