Wandering Away
Said the Wayward Wanderer
to the Bedridden Bedevilled,
"Look what I give you,
Greater than Jewels,
Gathered from all of Earths Continents,
Shining in Beautiful Mornings,
Stood there in the rays.
I am he who continues running,
Leaping day by day in Great Becomings,
Clothed in raiment fit for a King,
I lay my learning behind the Great Din.
Samsara, Mara, Lora, Ipsum and Dollar -
All these calls I tripped and called off.
Faced with a choice, I've never backed off.
Forever enthralling, embroiled in the brawling,
Swift to the listening, blissed with the talking
Of men of mindfulness, women of wisdom.
Crazed in awe of the All Yawning Pause.
Through these mansions amazed,
And steeped in these ways,
I've been travelling now for numberless days.
Trapped on the cragginess, raggedy, haggard,
I've struggled with arguments, laugh after laugh.
Left to the past, those troublesome days.
I watch as my wanderings take me abroad,
Across any ocean, wherever I'm called.
Each time engaged with Destiny's Dealing,
Triggered in time with her Sacred Revealing.
I pay to the ferryman everything owed,
And keep to the path as far as would go.
Mystical Sensings in Rhythmical Rhyme,
Delight in its hearing, Time after Time.
Strike me with Wonder,
A Gift to my ears,
The Truth in its Glory,
Resounding so Clear."
Good Work
the Good Work has been done, my friend
already we are freed
just now as we speak
a Great Joy is achieved
still sitting on the edge of time
still dreaming in the sun
still waving gladly without crying
the best is yet to come
all along the curious way
our goal always in sight
taking time from day to day
to hold it to the light
dreamers see the world awake
and gaze in silent awe
visions from the sleepless state
remembered at the dawn
the Good Work has been done, my friend
already we are freed
just now as we speak
a Great Light moves with speed
Man Half-Made
With razor blade
You'll have me cut
The weaker parts away
But the fool
Who's bent on rules
Gets weaker by the day
I wore the armour
And fought so hard
Then fell under my shield
A champion stands
In the world of man
Whose foe forever yields.
Night And Underground
Strange glow, a guiding light, before you, shining on,
I turn away, testing thoughts; You then ran to chase.
Dragged away, the current strong, but yet it’s safe to stay,
No need to leave here, now I’ve found a friend with whom to play.
Moving in enclosed space, we move from place to place,
At the door you fell; Withheld my help, ‘til more I felt.
What I want? Your want to give. We slip into the sounds.
Charged and biting, dancing, fighting, Night and underground.
Pushing out, and then away, and now I lead the way,
Your hand tight, though I’m not looking; You then take your leave.
You sent one down to tell me, that I’d find you now above,
Embrace with passion, questioning - our lust in search of love.
Time we left ‘til time to leave, burning in new hungers,
Tired and racing, fires fading; Free this sense of loss.
From a height, forever fall, forever we go down.
Charged and biting, dancing, fighting, Night and underground.
A Perfect Sounding
Gather what’s needed
With heart aghast,
And mind ablaze…
In colourful rays and blades of light
In hopeful praise
Raised at the master’s gaze
Enflamed in ways unmade.
Caught in the aftermath
After blasted past paths
Crippling with weight
Under determined fate.
Slide from state to state
With bright and bold ways
Find needles in hay
Where youth can play.
With ruthless amazement
And truthful grounding
Just and exact
A perfect sounding.
Immediately desist
In every twist
Every tightened fist
Fix this.
Swift ascension
Calls for intention
Where attention
Must not drift.
Left to cruel
Fits of a fool
Fit enough to rule
Would surely fail
Action when needed
Sown and seeded
Heard, heeded
Words hold sway.
Unfurl
far below on stumpen flow
skulking in the shrubbled shade
a bedraggled mask of thunderous gasps
laughs as lowered briskly.
keeping time on other minds
on other skies, in thoughtless flight
fraught with nightly sights
of gaping terror strikes.
defying age with burning gaze
as could spark a charge
that ever blazed
in moments lost to pain.
far over now from woven brow
unfettered flag unfurled,
a turning once to all allowed
a higher task endured.
Come Tumbling Down
simple design
outstretched across time
a beating unbalanced
becoming a chance.
all food
thought or chewed
strengthens the spine
given time.
labelled and shown
all things that were known
in castled glass
on ice, it could last.
unfrozen would mean
escape from a dream
in rhythm now
come tumbling down.
Laughing Still
Strip roaring trade, sidelined, smuttered and swayed.
Should've seen it, shovelling spit.
Covered blindly, blundered benignly, forget it.
Drawn out pain. Prickled pin. Draw it out.
Shackled lightly, still in spin. Travel tightly, tall and thin.
Bright lit morning, with news just in.
Data Womb shake, an utterance spake,
Escape from the loins, the table-top tigers.
Frost in its wake, thundering loudly along.
Not for a favour, but for truth song.
Calling all angels, wandering swans,
whitely amazing, cradling ones.
Fissured the hold, scattered the cold,
breaking barks in the gardens.
Floral arrangement, coral engagement,
sparkling sands, bands began.
Gathered lightly away,
Laughing still, in gifted play.
Sacrificial Song
In spite of spirit spiralling,
to thread the wheels in spin,
to cradle all in sadness,
in suffering of the skin.
In shadowed closet crying,
to toss the saint aside,
to play the failing fool,
or prey on foolish pride.
On tallest legs attempting,
to push a tickled point,
to savour on acceptance,
or dare to disappoint.
It's often that I wonder
how best to move along,
So silently I leave the charge
to sacrificial song.
The Teachings
from the first
it was heard
thirst is choking
croaking herb
listened good
for the teaching
preaching visions
circumcisions
traced the line
flying swine
truth behold
the bold be told
cracked the glass
shattered stripped
fast becoming
coming last
