Parade - National Night Out

Dear Charles Village Neighborhood Walkers,

Your presence is requested in the 2008, third annual Greenmount Avenue Village Parade!  On Saturday, August 2th, you are invited to assemble at 10:00 AM on 35th street, joining many other communities, law enforcement, marching bands, neighborhood leaders, local organizations businesses, patrons, neighbors, and youth for a parade that will bring together communities and business along Greenmount Avenue and signify that we are taking back the streets in our neighborhoods!  Together, we will parade down Greenmount Avenue from 35th street to 29th street beginning at 11 AM.

The purpose of this parade is to unify the neighborhoods and businesses along Greenmount Avenue and to continue working together to make our community a safe place to live, shop and work.  The residents and business owners surrounding Greenmount Avenue are diligently working together to provide activities for youth and to make the neighborhoods safer. Each community works with Northern District and participates in crime prevention activities.  As a result, all of the groups in the parade will have a public safety theme. If communities, officials and businesses work together, we can make a real difference in north central Baltimore!

Please email us at charlesvillagecop@gmail.com or call us at 410-235-4411 if you are interested in walking in the parade with us!  There is also a need for volunteers at the parade to help block off side streets and preform other similar duties.  Just note in your call or email which thing you are interested in doing.

Thanks!
Katie
