A key motivation for creating this web site is a desire to challenge, corroborate and correct some of the assertions given in the publication-

Tidewater Families of the New World & Their Westward Migrations, Case Studies in Studies in Southern States Research, Ancestors of Chatham, Gwyn, Armfield, Gray, Stanley, Walker, Bassett & Hundley families. by Anne Bassett Stanley Chatham and edited by Karen Clifford, A. G. , Austin, Texas, 1996

Chapter 8 of the above publication deals with the Hundley line and pp. 1052 - 1054 specifically with the descendants and proposed parents of Nehemiah HUNDLEY (d. 1831/1833). All Hundley Researchers are encouraged to challenge and corroborate the assertions given in this publication in order to produce the most accurate register possible for Nehemiah HUNDLEY's ancestors and descendants from available primary source records and reputable secondary sources.

Key assertions that need to be challenged in this publication are the wives and parents of Nehemiah. In the linked register this publication will be referred to as "Chatham/Clifford" or "C/C."
