A key motivation for creating this web site is a desire to
challenge, corroborate and correct some of the assertions given in the
publication-
Tidewater Families of the New World & Their Westward Migrations, Case
Studies in Studies in Southern States Research, Ancestors of Chatham, Gwyn,
Armfield, Gray, Stanley, Walker, Bassett & Hundley families. by Anne
Bassett Stanley Chatham and edited by Karen Clifford, A. G. , Austin, Texas,
1996
Chapter 8 of the above publication deals with the Hundley line and pp. 1052
- 1054 specifically with the descendants and proposed parents of Nehemiah
HUNDLEY (d. 1831/1833). All Hundley Researchers are encouraged to challenge and
corroborate the assertions given in this publication in order to produce the
most accurate register possible for Nehemiah HUNDLEY's ancestors and
descendants from available primary source records and reputable secondary
sources.
Key assertions that need to be challenged in this publication are the wives
and parents of Nehemiah. In the linked register this publication will be
referred to as "Chatham/Clifford" or "C/C."
This publication can be obtained at many genealogical and research
libraries. The LDS catalog number and description can be seen at:
