Slowloris: another effective DDoS solution
HTTrack: an opensource free multithreading website spider that can heavily load the servers

About

Why this application?
The government of Iran like any other dictatorship relies heavily on propaganda. Iran is one of the few countries who heavily sensor Internet.
After the election fraud in Iran, government has blocked all the websites related to the opposition. They use their own websites to spread lies and pretend that the election was fair. Read more about Internet Censorship in Iran.

What is this application?
Like many other people, we used to run http://www.pagereboot.com for reloading pages, but it has several disadvantages:
  • Overloading the system: since it runs on a full features browser, every page will be graphically rendered which takes a lot of processing power. This application just fetches the information and throws them out. This way it can heavily overload the server with less processing power.
  • Cheats: the government-associated web sites put a reference to Mousavi's website so that everyone who overloads their site, inherently overloads Mousavi's web site. This application simply just focuses on the target website and doesn't care about any other web site.
  • Other advantages:
    • Less CPU/RAM usage
    • Active development, bug fix and feature addition
    • Doesn't load contents from third party sites (iFrame)
    • Full Customizable (Speed, site, proxy, etc.)
    • Responsiveness and real time report
    • Latest news from Twitter and developer
    • Good documentation
    • Platform independent (Java)
    • Beautiful Interface
    • Open Source
    • Easy deployment (just copy and uncompress)
    • Secure (no listening ports, completely independent)
How does it work?
Simply add your URLs to the list and click "Attack". It will constantly fetch information from the website and overload the server. Technically it's known as DDoS. DDoS on wikipedia

Who are we?
We are some of the people that Ahmadinejad calls "dust"! You can call us with nick names "Arsh", "Mehran" and "Koorsh". Before becoming dust, we used to work together on various software projects in Iran. Just like many Iranians seeking a better future we migrated to a far far big island. Life is so good here without censored Internet and we wonder why Iranians should should not access whatever they want to access? Who has the authority to decide for them?
