The LPN IV Course is for LPNs licensed in ND seeking to include IV therapy in their scope of practice.
This course meets the requirements set forth by the ND Board of Nursing. This course is self study and requires access to a computer and you MUST have a functional email address to take the course. The LPN IV course requires completion of the theory portion and
passing of a closed book test (80% passing score). Once you pass the
test you may go on to the clinical portion of the course. The cost is
$225 plus the cost of the textbook. The course is self study, the
clinical portion typically is done at your employing facility. If you
are not employed in such a setting you must find a clinical site willing
to work with you.

WAS RENEWED and APPROVED by the ND Board of Nursing in May 2011. The
Refresher Courses offered by the North Dakota Nurses Association have
stopped accepting applications from both RNs and LPNs wishing to re-activate their license. These
courses will no longer be offered. Students currently enrolled and active in their course work will continue as planned. |

Please fill out and send with application the LPN IV preceptor and facility agreement. If your facility is not able to provide this clinical portion of the course, you MUST contact another facility and make arrangements. Please note you will have to have your insurance and meet that facility's requirements regarding patient confidentiality. There may be other requirements you need to meet such as immunization status, etc. Please check to make sure you are meeting their requirements before you begin ANY clinical experience.
