Introduction
我々 N-dimensional Japan (NDJ) は日本の二千年以上に及ぶ連続した歴史の中で培われている『日本文化』の学習・啓蒙に焦点を当てたミネソタ大学ツインシティーズ校 (University of Minnesota at Twin Cities) に於ける有志学生・学者グループです。
我々は自学の精神を以て日本文化と向き合い、知識と教養を深め、品格と人品の向上に勤しみ、ミネソタ大学を活動拠点とし、学浅きながらも、文化を異にする他者との交流に責任をもって備え、臨まんとする志を掲げています。
今日益々GlobalizationやInternationalizationといった思想が唱えられ、拡大している時代だからこそ、日本文化を自発的に知ろうとする姿勢、何よりもその知識欲の原動力である日本に対して先験的に抱く敬愛心を重んじ、我々一人一人は一国の文化の存在意義の更なる重要性を信じ、微力ながらも一身を挙げ、より健全な文化の多様性の在り方に少しでも貢献できるよう、全力を尽くす所存です。
The Purpose (Mission)
- Cultural Interaction: To provide academic and educational activities related to Japanese culture.
- Regional Contribution: To contribute to cultural diversity at the University and in the general community.
- Self-development: To gain profound understandings of Japanese culture through an individual organizational project.

- On- and off-campus presentations over the organizational projects by the officers (and supporters)
- Lecture Series ON Campus
- On-campus special presentations by guest speakers (Faculty, staff or graduate students at the University of Minnesota)
- Lecture Series OFF Campus
- Off-campus special presentations by guest speakers
Volunteering Activities
The officers (and supporters) will also actively participate in volunteering activities which may not necessarily relate with the themes of our organizational projects. A list of the places we currently volunteer for includes: Disability Services at University of Minnesota, Fairview Medical Center, Rice Street Library, Science Museum of Minnesota, Tomodachi at Rosedale Center, and Washington County Library.
