While driving around N.'s hometown on Christmas morning, we found our house.  First and last home we looked at; we bought it a few months after we first saw it. It needs a ton of work.  Blood red walls, god awful fake flowers and doilies hanging over every window, and oh yeah...old wiring that needs to be completely replaced.  It's going to be my summer project.

It's a 1900 farmhouse with four barns/outbuildings and 4 acres that have a fabulous view of the river. So fabulous, that we've got some great flood insurance...  Best part - the 4 bedroom house with farm land cost less than my 400 square foot studio in Washington, D.C.
