Originally Trenton Chapter was in the 2d District (in the 40's).
In 1949, Trenton, Beaufort, and Morehead City were in the 2d District..
In 1949, Service Star, Seaside, and Richlands UD (Under Dispensation), were in the 3d District.
In 1950, Trenton, Beaufort and Morehead City became part of the 3d District.
These chapter remained in the 3d District until 1978 when 9 chapters were redesiginated as the 4th District: Richlands, Trenton, Beaufort, Morehead City, Service Star, Seaside, Newport, Jacksonville, and Stump Sound.
In the early years, the deputies served two-year terms. |
