Inevitably, by its very nature Design and Technology education changes rapidly, but continuous investment has ensured that the department has remained at the cutting edge. Students have the best technological experiences and are able to carry out authentic tasks which provide them with skills that will prepare them for future careers within any industry. The department has its own ICT facilities with a range of high specification computers running the very latest CAD/CAM software. There are 2 design rooms for 2D and 3D modelling, with the best equipment to aid teaching and learning. There are also two workshops one of which is very much to industry standard and houses the latest Computer Numerically Controlled machinery which includes a graphics cutter and two 3 axis routers.
