Announcement of Seventh Congressional
District Convention Delegates to Democratic National Convention to be Selected The 7th Congressional District Democratic Party Convention will be held on May 19. Location: Town Creek Elementary School, 6330 Lake Park Drive, SE, Winnabow, NC 28479. Time: Between 10:00 AM - 2 PM (look for details on specific times of agenda items in the coming weeks). Pursuant to the 2012 Democratic National Convention Delegate Selection Plan, we will elect seven Delegates (four males and three females) to the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte. The first step in the delegate selection process begins March 6, when precincts must meet to elect delegates to their county conventions. Notices of candidacy for those who wish to run for a delegate position at the congressional district level must be received by the Delegate Selection Office of the North Carolina Democratic Party by April 27, 2012. |
