Preventing Childhood Obesity in Early Care and Education Programs
 
The new set of national standards describing evidence-based and expert consensus on best practices in nutrition, physical activity, and screen time for early care and education programs are now AVAILABLE! These updated standards will be a part of the comprehensive Caring for Our Children: National Health and Safety Performance Standards; Guidelines for Early Care and Education Pro­grams, Third Edition (CFOC, 3rd Ed.) to be released in 2011.

Mission

The mission of the NC Child Care Health Consultant

Association (NC CCHCA) is to provide a collaboration network

for Child Care Health Consultants throughout the state of NC. 

CCHCs strive to promote the healthy development of children

and reduction of illness and injury in child care settings.  This
collaborative association shall provide a vehicle to discuss and

act on local, state, and national child care issues.  Association

Members will be able to share ideas and resources, assist in

solving problems and concerns, and offer collaboration and support.”
