Spirit

For NCARH 2010 the awards we are having are best display, best banner, philanthropy, most spirted delegate and delegation, best roll call, top ten programs, and best toga decoration.

For the banner we are doing a king size sheet and having it be no more than 2 lbs. It must include a shout out to the other schools, incorporation of the conference theme as well as being able to hang up.

For the display we are having them do an underwater theme or something Greek, but it has to incorporate the conference theme. Must be no more than 5 lbs, and must include a shout out to the other schools. We, the conference staff will be judging the banner and display.

For the roll call we are asking for skits. Each school will need to email Samantha (Spirit Chair) with their school name and a picture of the school mascot. She will be having a PowerPoint of all the schools and when they come to do the skit that will be their background.

Criteria for the skits includes a shout-out to other schools, incorporation of Seymour the starfish, the conference theme, they must show them discovering something, not necessarily leadership, no more than 5 minutes and music and props are allowed.

The welcome gifts will include the conference t-shirt, a lanyard, whistle, pen and a book of programs with itinerary and sponsors.

To go along with our theme we are having the schools make their own togas for the dance. Each school will purchase their own togas and design them to represent their school. This will result in being awarded the Best Designed Togas.

The judging criteria for the togas includes: creativity and originality, how difficult it was, incorporation of the underwater theme, school representation, and positive incorporation of other NCARH schools.

The main goal for all of the delegates is to work hard and party harder, so we will be looking for a lot of school spirit and spunk.
