Hello Everyone,

I must say that I am truly excited on all that is happening in New Britain
between the Friends of Willow Street Park, Smalley academy, Urban Oaks, the
various activities that we have planned, and the Spring weather that is finally
arriving!!!

But also of the faith leaders of the city.  On our next meeting, we will have
Pastor Rha-Sheen Brown (my husband), come and share about a city-wide youth
rally that he has planned for July 29th and 30th.  He has over 15 churches that
are supporting him on gathering the youth, and he will be looking to gather the
stakeholders, to help in these same efforts.  Gang violence, drugs, teenage
pregnancy, high school dropouts, etc; all effect us and our city! His passion is
to reach the youth that have been counted out, and who are stuck in gangs.  He
is effective at reaching them because of his story, and we as pastors, see that
transpire within our church. You will all have a chance to hear his story and
feel his passion too, at our next meeting!!! I hope you can all feel my
excitement within this email!!!
