Nov. 2nd Minutes. Reminder our events happen this week. I nearly forgot and almost attended another meeting at 6pm. Oops. -Candace and I are meeting up tomorrow to discuss layout. We may have to show up early to our events to set up or arrange the tables. -Wes is taking care of sudexo. -Jason is taking care of the DVD. -Jess is taking care of picking up the food and the donation bins. (jess, if you need help transferring the boxes let us know or need help with the food) -Fliers are up, Wes is going to put some brochures at a few residential front desk. I attended Latino Heritage Month's Day of the Dead Celebration and handed out some fliers there, few of the professors are going to distribute it to their classes and Diana from the health center is going to distribute some as well. -This Friday is the Pioneer for People- Coat Drive meeting. I'll be attending if anyone wants to come. -Also, I'm looking into setting up donation bins at the residential dorms on campus during the last week of the quarter. There's likely to be more traffic in those areas and students needing to rid some food and coats before parting for the winter break. I've spoken with Thomas Walker and Josh from QSA, Josh is involved with the Residential Hall Association and said there is a application to be filled and a presentation to give. I'm going to see what I can do, if anyone is interested email me. -Lastly, Nov. 9th will be our last meeting. Will discuss events we want to have for next quarter, volunteering opportunities, and fund raising. -Wes mentioned having ______& Earnie (Navajo Comedians) come to DU. -Oh, I just sent via nsa list serve a forward from Monica Kumar, events that take place Thursday, Johanna Leyba strongly encourages our members to come.
