Statement of Faith

In preparation to write this statement of Faith, I have devoted much time to prayer, along with searching and meditating on scripture. The contents of this statement are based on personal conviction of those two facts.  I have also studied several previously written statements of faith to facilitate a presentation that is easily understood.

GOD

God is an eternal Spirit.  Consisting of three persons: The Father, Son (Jesus), and Holy Spirit.  God literally became human in the form of Jesus, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary.  The divine purpose of God is guided by the Holy Spirit.  God is the only God.  He is complete in Holiness, Power, Wisdom and Love.

SCRIPTURE

The Bible consists of 66 books, divided into the Old and New Testaments.  It is the Holy Spirit, divinely inspired Word of God.  It is without error or contradiction.  It is infallible.  It holds absolute authority in all matters of conduct and faith.

CHRIST AND REDEMPTION

Jesus (God in the flesh) literally came to earth to redeem human kind from the power and penalty of sin.  He was perfect; He was crucified on the cross and took my sin with him there.  He rose again from the dead after three days and conquered death and sin.  He lives eternally.  This gives me hope and freedom from guilt and sin today as well as eternal life after I leave this world.  I am justified from sin by Gods grace alone.  By confessing my sin and accepting what Jesus did for me by Faith

BAPTISM

Baptism is a public declaration of faith and trust in Christ.  Going from Death to Life—as Christ lives in us we have total newness of life

A FEW BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES

We live and function by Gods Grace; however, the Ten Commandments are just that Gods Commandments, not Gods suggestions.

We are to share the word of God in its entirety to others.  This is by word and deed not just in deed.
