Nasser Yassin Homepage
Nasser Yassin is a researcher and practitioner in urbanism, peace and conflict. He has been working since 1994 in number of projects in Lebanon, the UK and the EU. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Health Sciences at the American University of Beirut. He is also a Fellow at The Hague based Institute for Environmental Security. Nasser holds a PhD in Development Planning Studies from the Bartlett Faculty of Built Environment at University College London and an MSc in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics and MSc in Population Studies from the American University of Beirut. He has worked as a consultant to a number of international organizations and international NGOs such as the World Bank, UNDP, UN-HABITAT, UN-ESCWA, the EC, Heinrich Boell and World Vision. He has conducted a number of training workshops on participatory planning.
