The March competition was another interesting contest, judged by our guest speaker Tim Upson Smith, of Northants Archaeology. Finds on display were few and far between. There were 4 items entered in both the coin and artefact competition. 1st place in the Coin competition went to Tony with a Elizabeth threepence of 1874. 2nd place was Sue with a Roman Nummus and 3rd place was Roger with a Henry penny. The winner in the Artefact competition was Tony with a lovely french Coin Weight of Louyis D'or. Tim took 2nd place with a Roman nail cleaner and 3rd place went to Sue with a Medieaval belt mount. So well done everyone and many congratulations indeed to the 2011 FOTM winner, Sue. Well done indeed. Many thanks to everyone who has entered their finds throughout the year. I wish you all every success on the fields in the 2012 competition. photos to follow
