Previous Napier Dressage horse Normandy has a foal! Normandy, by the Holstein stallion Ranteres, was bred to the up-and-coming stallion Pablito from Rainbow Equus Meadows and gave birth to a beautiful chestnut colt! We are looking forward to his inspection in the fall. Look for me at the Beaujolais! I will be taking the 5 year old, Benedero, to his first recognized dressage show this weekend, June 12 - 14th. We will be competing 1st level and hope to receive a few qualifying scores! **Update: Benedero WON his first class in his first ever recognized show! He had great scores and we have very high hopes for him in the future! Pictures coming soon Thank you Mette Rosencrantz It is hard to believe that after eight months, my time with Mette has come to an end. It has been an incredible opportunity and I have made friends that will last a lifetime and have made great improvements in my riding. But now I have decided to return to school. I will continue riding in my spare time and to help pay for college.
Ricardo Amaya - May he rest in peace Ricardo Amaya was a great trainer, friend, and father of two young boys. He was one of the kindest, most honest people I have ever met and one couldn't help but be drawn to him. It was easy to see that the horses felt it to. They worked for him, because they wanted to and never because he made them. I feel very privilaged to have been able to have worked along side him. Ricardo passed away April 1st 2008 due to injuries resulting from a riding accident. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. A fund has been set up to help Ricardo's family. Jennifer Root and Salvador Aguilar were married April 6th in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Jen had been a long time boarder and trainer at Simpatico. A large group of people from the barn went down to Mexico to witness the occasion. We wish you many happy years to come!
Schooling show at San Sebastian April 08 While both Simpatico trainers were at Jen's wedding, Kat's students Laurel and Sharon bravely attended an EI schooling show. Both riders did very well in their classes with scores in the mid 60's. Laurel even recieved a perfect "10" on a halt! Way to go team Simpatico!
NAYRC 2004 I was fortunate enough to lease my trainer's horse, Landfurst, while attending Lake Erie College. While we did not make the team, it was an unparalled experience.
