Cobs from the Heart of Wales
| Our horses live outdoors at the farm and are usually taken straight from the field for showing. Our horses are shown throughout the local area and have done well. We believe in showing the horses from an early age, starting many off as foals. It is an important part of their education.
We have now won the trophy opposite 3 times, for Supreme Champion of All Breeds in the Brecon & Borders WPCBA, see progeny page. Its awarded for the highest number of points during the show season, we have won it with the following foals:
- Nanteglwys Ceridwen 1995
- Nanteglwys Glyndwr 2002
- Nanteglwys Ben 2004

Yorkin Replica Lady (2004)
Royal Welsh Show Centenary Cavalcade |
Our foundation mare was Yorkin Replica Lady, said to have been Derwen Replica's first filly foal. Top price at May 1993 Welsh Pony & Cob sales at Builth Wells. See the WP&CS Journal 1994, page 519. She retired from the farm October 2006 having bred some fantastic stock, see her page for details.
We presently have three stallions.

We are members of societies such as the Welsh Pony & Cob Society as well as the Brecon & Borders Welsh Pony & Cob Breeders Association. Geoff Lewis, my father, is also on the association committee. Here is a link to the web page for the association http://www.bbwpcba.com/index.htm
I also run Welsh Pony & Cobs Promotions, which deals with all sections of the Welsh breeds. It contains information on breeders, stallions, classifieds, events and links on welsh ponies and cobs in Europe, Australia and South Africa. |
