Bandolier Bandolier is an evidence-based resource developed in 1994. This is not comprehensive database but indexes answers to specific EBP questions.
Bioethics Information This is a specialized search engine that searches PubMed to locate information related to bioethics.
 

Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews

Often called Cochrane reviews, this is a database of structured abstracts of systematic reviews. The majority of the records deal with diagnosis and therapy of very specific conditions. Full-text is not available directly but an abstract and evidence summary is available.
Daily Med
A project of the National Library of Medicine and the FDA. This is a database of drug package inserts, similar to the contents of the PDR.
DARE
DARE contains over 5000 abstracts of quality assessed systematic reviews on the effects of interventions used in health and social care.
Dietary Supplements and Labels Database Produced by the National Library of Medicine, this is a collection of information on more than 2000 dietary supplements.
Drug Information Portal @ NLM This National Library of Medicine database combines several government drug resources. Use it to search for prescription drug information. It includes consumer information, chemical structure, toxicology information and much more.
Drugs.com This is a commercial resource that contains a pill identifier, list of drugs by conditions, interaction checker, A-Z drug listing, drug images, medical dictionary, and medical encyclopedia.
Entrez  The life science search engine by the National Library of Medicine.
ERIC Eric is the Educational Resources Information Resource Center database of the education literature.
 

LactMed

A peer-reviewed and fully referenced database of drugs to which breastfeeding mothers may be exposed. Includes are maternal and infant levels of drugs, possible effects on breastfed infants and on lactation, and alternate drugs to consider.

 

MedlinePlus Medline Plus is the National Library of Medicine’s consumer health database. This site includes short videos, interactive tutorials, a consumer database, health encyclopedia and much more.
 

National Guidelines Clearinghouse

The National Guideline Clearinghouse™ (NGC) is a comprehensive database of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines and related documents. It includes structured abstracts of the guidelines and links to full-text when available.

PubMed/Medline Medline is the National Library of Medicine’s premier biomedical database. Coverage begins in the 1940’s. The database provides information from the following fields: medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, allied health, and pre-clinical sciences.
TRIP Database  Beginning in 1997, by answering clinical questions, using the principles of evidence based medicine, the aims have been to allow health professionals to easily find the highest-quality material available on the web and to help support evidence based practice. The TRIP Database is produced by TRIP Database Ltd. and provides services to a large number of UK and overseas  organistations.
