Main page News | March 15th 2007 Raymond Chan has officially moved to Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing in Jan 2007. There is no more NACN lab in Sun Yat-Sen University.
March 2nd- 6th 2008 Professor Bill Honer visited NACN Lab. Professor Honer has been a collaborator with Dr. Raymond Chan and is a professor from Department of Psychiatry, the University of British Columbia, Canada. We strengthened our existing colalboration and explored further potential projects during his visit.
March 19th 2008 Dr. Raymond Chan is invited to co-chair a symposium with Prof. Mie Matsui, titled"Neuropsychology and Neuroimaging Approach to Memory Function in Schizophrenia Spectrum Disorder" at the 2nd World Federation of Societies of Biological Psychiatry Asia-Pacific Congress in the coming September in Yoyama, Japan.
April 22nd-24th 2008 Visit by Prof. Richard Gonzalez from Department of Psychology, Univeristy of Michigan.
May 19th-20th 2008 Visit by Prof. Bill Stone and Dr. Xiaolu Hsi from Harvard Medical School
Jan 5th - 6th 2009 Prof. Raymond Chan was invited to conduct a training workshop in neurological soft signs at Toyama Medical School in Japan. Formal collaboration was established between Prof. Chan and Prof. Mie Matsui for neurological soft signs using optical imaging.
Jan 16th 2009 Dr. Chan and his team were awarded by the Institute of Psychology as the outstanding researcher and outstanding research team in 2008, respectively.
March 6th 2009 Prof. Jason Mattingley from Queensland Brain Institute and University of Queensland paid a short visit to NACN Lab and met up with our team to explore potential work in the near future. March 30th 2009 Dr. Ya Wang of the NACN Lab recieved the Young Investigator Award at the 12th International Congress on Schizophrenia Research. April 7th 2009 Dr. Huw Williams, the co-director of the Centre for Neuropsychology Research of the Exeter University, and the chair of the Division of Neuropsychology of the British Psychological Society, delivered a seminar on "Emotional deficits and intervention for emotion regulation in patients with traumatic brain injury" at the NACN Lab. April 13th - 27th 2009 Prof. David Shum, deputy director of the Griffith Institute for Healthy and Medical Research paid a 2-week visit to NACN Lab. Prof. Shum was sponsored by the Agreement of the Exchanges for 2009/2010 between the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Australian Academy of Sciences. Prof. Shum and Dr. Raymond Chan have been collaborating on a number of projects on executive function and prospective memory in patients with schizophrenia. The main purpose for Prof. Shum's visit was to faciliate and strengthen the exsiting colloraboration with Dr. Chan. In particular, Prof. Shum and Dr. Chan, and their teams will commend more concrete work on developmental cognitive neurosciences. |
