Newry Film Club is a non-political and non-profit-making organisation.
From traditional classics and limited releases to educational and contemporary foreign films, we hope there will be something for everyone. Newry Film Club is a community film club open to all. For a relaxed and sociable evening, come along to our screenings.
Interested in joining the club or just coming along to a screening phone Newry Arts Centre at 028 3031 3180 or contact us by email nacfilmclub@googlemail.com. Screenings take place in Newry Sean Hollywood Arts Centre. Come early to meet other members for a sociable chat with drinks/coffee 7.15 onwards. Films start at 8.00pm.
The film club was never intended as a money making venture. All of the organisers still work on a voluntary basis (and put some serious hours in, believe me). The main source of finance is the membership subscription. This allows the committee to plan ahead for the season. Any money made on the screenings is ploughed straight back into hiring great films and obtain the expensive Non-Theatrical licence for each film.
Membership & Fees
Our success is due to the loyalty and enthusiasm of our members. We are delighted to welcome new members, otherwise simply turn up as a guest and pay the price for a single screening.
* Membership will be offered at a discounted rate for group bookings and for individuals wanting to join later in the year.
Members and Guests must be over the age of 16.
