About Us

ANN CANNING-LEBLANC

Ann is excited to bring to you My Smart Hands classes from her Ridgeway location and surrounding Fort Erie area.

With 20 years experience in early childhood education, having trained in the UK, including being a Nanny, operating a successful Home Daycare and parenting her two children aged 9 and 4 with an approach to creative learning and an interest in communication, literacy and the arts.

Ann has been interested in the beauty of sign language for many years and has successfully completed several levels of ASL classes through the Canadian Hearing Society. Having researched signing with babies and children, Ann felt that becoming a My Smart Hands instructor would be a great way to share the benefits of signing with little ones and enable her to combine her passion for ASL and working with babies and small children. The program is easy to follow with songs and games engaging both children and adults alike!

KATHALEEN MCNEIL

Kathaleen is located in West Niagara and is excited to offer classes to Grimsby, Lincoln, St.Catharines and surrounding areas.

As a member of the Ontario College of Teacher, Kathaleen has over 8 years of experience in the field of education as a Music teacher, Kathaleen enjoys educating young minds and sharing knowledge with young and old alike.

Kathaleen has always known when she had her own children that she would use sign language with them. This May (2010) she became the proud mother to her baby girl Clara, so she decided that she wanted to share the gift of early communication with not only her child, but with all babies and parents. Having completed courses in ASL and after researching the benefits of ASL with young children, My Smart Hands has given her the opportunity to share sign language with you and the little ones in your life.
