INGREDIENTS:

1/2 pound large shrimp and 1/2 lb red snapper fillet or crab meat marinated in juice of 6 limes for 4 hours or overnight

4 serrano peppers, chopped

1/2 cup olives

1/2 cup white onion, finely chopped

1 tablespoon oregano

1/4 cup cilantro, chopped

1/4 cup ketchup

1/4 cup fresh lime juice

1 teaspoon hot sauce

2 tablespoons worsteschire sauce

1 teaspoon salt or to taste

1 avocado, firm ripe, peeled, pitted, cut in small chunks

1 1/2 cups Clamato, chilled

or

1 cup tomato juice and 1/2 cup  bottled clam juice

DIRECTIONS:

  • Mix together onions, tomatoes, serrano peppers, olives, oregano, and cilantro.
  • Stir together clamato juice, ketchup, lime juice, hot sauce, worsteschire sauce and salt in large bowl.
  • Drain seafood from lime juice mixture.
  • Gently stir in avocado, crabmeat or red snapper and shrimp.
  • Marinate for one day in refrigerator.Ceviche will be good for up to 5 days.Spoon into little cups or bowls.
