Who is the Morgan Branches and Roots site for?

First of all, it's for you if you're related in anyway to the James Milton Morgan family whose roots are in Alabama or Georgia before 1880 or so.  This Morgan family came through the War Between the States after suffering huge losses to their way of living and culture which resulted in many of their offspring moving to the early Texas frontier.  From there we have spread literally around the world.

Here you can keep track of your Morgan genealogy research, see what others are doing, or just enjoy seeing who your relatives are and learning more about them without having to join an expensive genealogy website.

Or you can post family pictures to share with other family members.  Or check out what others have posted.  Just click on the Photo links.

Want to exchange Recipes, Post documents, tell Family Stories, share some family News?  Go right ahead.  And while you're at it, check out the Calender for birthdays and other scheduled family events.

All you need to do if you want to contribute to this family website is contact us so we can send you an invitation and instructions.

By the way, the background is the Morgan Tartan and the Motto on the Family Crest is "Dum Spero Spiro" - Onward and Upward.

Knighton) taken about about 1903 - with Ralph Olen being the youngest - born in 1901 - he looks about 1 1/2 to 2 yrs old here. The occasion may be for their 25th wedding anniversary
