MMA MY SPORT-home I've been an athlete my entire life. When I was 5 my father put me in boxing and at the time of seeing people like Tyson I thought that is what I want to do. My dad had come from that background (he was a boxing champ for the German air force and also my brother was a Navy champ). So it was only fitting I follow them in the sport. Well one day when I'm 7 my brother comes home from just going to a ufc event and brings a video of the event. Well at that time I said I wanted to do more like that. Well my father decided he would also put me in Kick boxing and Muay Thai. So a few years go by and I don't see MMA again in a few years till my 7th grade year. Well hear there was this teacher I would train with but every time we trained he would take me down at will. At this point I figure I really need to learn wrestling so I train at my school for that. Move on to 8th grade I have a new teacher that is putting me in locks and submissions left and right as if I was nothing. Well he tells me it's a style called sambo. This teacher lets me train at his gym where these 2 Russian gentleman are in charge. Vladimir Vasiliev and Mikhail Ryabko. Both unknown to me at the time that those guys taught Fedor. Well it's right around tenth grade I see MMA again and get really into it (didn't know who Fedor is at the time). Well I have got a lot bigger due to working out a lot. I was walking around at an all lean 245 lbs (I got injured and lost a lot of that muscle but regained some in the coming years). Well I'm doing tournaments for Kick boxing and boxing won them and later placed states in wrestling but left the team due to my coach being a day time drunk (practice was never fun). Well around 12th grade I see looking into Fighter profiles that this guy has beaten a lot of the people I'm looking at. Well I look into his and it turns out to be Fedor. From their I'm hooked. I wanted to get the best training available to me besides from what I already had. My sister knew Joe Mesi I started training with him for better boxing and with that Former champs John Ruiz and Hasim Rahman came to his gym and I got to train with them too (now I can push all 3 around). My sister also knows a former kick boxing champ, Justin Caldwell who teaches me in turn. Once I head to college I got to train at the mma gym right down the street from nccc. He have had a few UFC fighters train there such as Jon Jones and current UFC light heavy weight champ Rashad Evans. Besides from that the stand up trainer there is a golden gloves champ and the ground trainer is a brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt. With this I also wrestled for nccc which is a top 10 wrestling division 3 school and did really well for my first year. Ever since I moved to buffalo fighting center I have had 14 amateur fights and have won all of them. Right now I'm a heavy weight (small one at that) at 225lbs give or take a few lbs. places I train http://www.buffalosystema.com/ and to top it all off a pic of me on our wrestling team
