This webpage is a digital project for English 149 (TechnoRomantisicm), San Jose State University. It was created for the Fall Semester 2009. About this course. This webpage is part of a collaborative student effort to create an annotated, interactive version of Frankenstein (1818 version), on a chapter by chapter basis. The relevant chapter for this page is Vol. II, Ch. V. See other chapters. It is my hope that, like the eye atop this page which signifies the Creature peering into the DeLacey household from the crack in the wall which separates them from his hideaway in their hovel, this webpage will serve as the small crack through which a greater knowledge and understanding of the world the Creature inhabits can enter the viewer.
