Matthew M. Wielicki

Hi! Thanks for visiting my web-site.  My name is Matthew M. Wielicki and I am a PhD candidate at UCLA.  I am working with Dr. Mark Harrison to gain a better understanding of Earths early evolution.  In particular I am examining impact-formed zircons from preserved terrestrial impact sites and comparing the Ti-in-zircon crystallization temperatures to those of the Hadean Jack Hills zircons.  I am also attempting to calibrate the muscovite barometer for pressure, temperature and magma composition in the experimental petrology lab working with Dr. Craig Manning.  You can find my curriculum vitae, past and current research, teaching experience, brew recipes and some other things I am interested in on this site.  Thanks for visiting and have a great day.

Cheers,

MW

This is a picture taken while backpacking in Kaiser Wilderness.  This is a view south towards Kaiser Peak with me fishing Upper Twin Lake.  Caught twenty brookies that day!!!
