I'm currently a postdocatoral research scientist at Columbia University in the city of New York. Before joining Columbia, I obtained the B.Sc (Department of Computer Science, 2004), B.Phil (Department of Philosophy, 2005) and Ph.D. (Institute of Computer Science and Technology, 2009) degrees all from Peking University, and also have ever worked at National University of Singapore (NUS) as a research fellow. I have broad interest on various computer vision, multimedia and machine learning topics, especially on large scale retrieval and optimization, spatial-temporal video analysis, and new paradigms for video retrieval.
