The blues came from America and the experience of slaves. In the 19th century, slaves created blues songs in the fields of the plantations. It can also be traced back to the rhythms of Africa. The blues is a simple, yet very deep music, about self-expression. It was the foundation for much of the music we hear today. Learn more on this site.
