Dr. Michele White

 

 

Dr. Michele C. White is a double graduate of the prestigious University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. There she earned a Baccalaureate degree in Biology and completed her surgical training. Founded in the 1700s the University of North Carolina is the oldest state university in the United States and is one of the original eight flagship public colleges known as Ivy.

Dr. White studied doctorate level forensic anthropology and has held membership in a top national pathology academy as well as Fellowship status in a maxillofacial surgery association. She was also a pharmacology researcher at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine.

Dr. White is a member of Physicians for Human Rights.

Dr. White has been on the medical staff with surgical privileges at three regional medical centers. Her practice focus is pediatric pathology and surgery and she is currently conducting research in medical anthropology and bioarchaeology.

Dr. White's writing projects and research have taken her to England, Scotland, North and Central America, Nine additional countries in Europe, Asia - including Russia, China, India and Turkey, the Middle East, North and Sub-Sahara Africa, and South America including the Amazon Basin.
 
Dr. White is a Norton Society Member of the Archaeological Institute of America.

Dr. White lives with her husband and son on their ranch located in rural North Central Florida and their home in the Georgia Blue Ridge Mountains.

Pandemic is Dr. White’s fourth suspense novel and the second in a medical mystery / detective thriller series. The first novel of the series Broken Silence, received notable acclaim and launched Dr. White on a book tour with Barnes and Noble. Dr. Ashley White

 

 

Dr. Ashley White is a graduate of the prestigious University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he completed his surgical training. Founded in the 1700's the University of North Carolina is the oldest state university in the United States and is one of the original eight flagship public colleges known as Ivy.

Dr. White also served on the University of North Carolina Honor Court. He studied doctorate level forensic anthropology and has held membership in a top national pathology academy as well as Fellowship status in a maxillofacial surgery association. Dr. White earned a Baccalaureate of Science Degree in Biochemistry from East Carolina University and was an investigative researcher at the East Carolina University School of Medicine.

Dr. White is a member of Physicians for Human Rights.

Dr. White held a post graduate research position at preeminent Duke University, consistently placed among the world’s top universities. He worked with the School of Engineering on a NASA funded project. Dr. White also was a member of the Mensa special interest group founded Research Triangle National Security and Intelligence Think Tank. Dr. White has been on the medical staff with surgical privileges at three regional medical centers.

Dr. White is on the Governing Board and is a Trustee of the Archaeological Institute of America, founded in 1879 and chartered by the United States Congress. The AIA is North America’s oldest and largest organization devoted to the world of archaeology. 

Dr. White serves on the Cultural Property Legislation and Policy Committee that is responsible for tracking and reporting on national and international legislation that affects archaeology; keeping up with progress on UNIDROIT, the Hague Convention, the Underwater Resources Convention, and various EEC directives; investigating and responding to issues concerning the illicit trade in antiquities; and developing timely AIA responses as necessary. Dr. White is also as a member of the Professional Responsibilities Committee that advises the Governing Board on appropriate policies and action concerning the preservation of archaeological resources, placement and employment, standards of archaeological excavations, professional ethics, and other matters involving professional responsibilities.

Dr. White is also involved with the  Florida Archaeology Resource Center.

Over the last two decades, Dr. White has been researching ancient diseases and their initial presentations for prevention of future pandemic plagues. This evidence based research has granted Dr. White access to some of the world’s most sensitive archaeological sites.
