The soccer season begins on August 1st, and runs through July 31st of the following year. Each season consists of a fall and a spring session, each session lasting aproximately 8 weeks long. The teams play 8 games in each session, with an additional "9th game" in the fall, an indoor game at Uihlein field in Milwaukee, and home to the Milwaukee Kickers. If possible, any player interested in playing with MASC is encouraged to sign up by June 1st for the following season, but registrations are accepted through the end of August. As registrations are received, teams are formed based on the number of children signing up and age group. The earlier a player registers, the easier it is to place them on the correct team. After teams are formed, a player can be placed on any team at any time, if roster spots are available. Unlike many rec programs, there really is no deadline to sign up, but teams need to be formed early, and not all teams will have roster spots available.
