Welcome to Flying Fish Artwork's home-page!  Flying Fish is an artistic venture in it's infancy...with hopes for healthy growth and inspired by the notions of salvage and re-use.  Each custom piece is handcrafted with salvaged, reclaimed and found objects often blended with natural elements to create a whole that is as beautiful as it is functional.  Much of the material used was salvaged from Seattle, Washington's historic homes bound for demolition.....parts and pieces of old homes are "re-purposed"  - essentially given a new life in a new form.  This re-use in practice lends each component and each complete piece a story of it's own.

"Puget Sound Power and Light Co." Foyer table....the top is constructed of salvaged, pine bowling lane removed from "Sunset Bowl" Seattle, WA  2008 and is wrapped with a rough-sawn, true dimensional 2x4. The table's pedestal is a cast iron grinder base salvaged from a SODO machine shop.  42"x12"x30"

"Roberta's Table".....more salvaged basket ball court (Cedarcrest HS, Duvall, WA 2008) tops out this custom job.  1 1/2" black galvanized pipe legs and reclaimed fir door casing trims it out.  84" x 26" x 30".

From Bowling Lane to Basketball Flooring...this court-side drink cart keeps the game going.  This two-tiered,  salvaged file cart was  re-surfaced with  basketball court flooring and sports a croquet mallet handle for easy transport.  28" x 14" x 30" (adjustable).
