Hello Everyone,
The band is in full swing with the upcoming solo and ensemble contest, shine the shoe fundraiser, the nearing pasta dinner fundraiser, and OMEA Large Group Contest. We also have a band booster meeting this coming Monday(Jan 25) at 7:00pm in the band room. We hope that you will all be able to come out and support the band in any way you can. Below you will find the itinerary for solo and ensemble students for this Saturday.
With that being said, the band's Pasta Dinner fundraiser which is Saturday, February 27 is one of the largest annual fundraisers for the band. As we do every year, we would like to ask band parents to bring deserts to go along with the pasta. We are also doing a cake raffle and would need some willing parents to bake cakes. If you are willing to bring a desert or a cake please contact Rose Kahsar at rkahsar@mthcs.org or Rhonda Rapp at rrapp@paychex.com.

Date – Wednesday, February 25 The 7th and 8th Grade Band will be performing at the Black History Month Concert at Mt. Healthy Junior High School. The concert will be located in the Jr. High Gym. Dress: Gentlemen – White collared shirt, black pants, black belt, black shoes, black socks. Ladies – White shirt of blouse, black pants/skirt, black or nude hose (no off color) 5:30pm – Call time for all students (in the band room) 6:30pm – Concert Begins 8:00pm – Dismissal from concert ***Reminder, this is a graded performance.*** ***Performances make up 40% of the overall grade***

Information regarding Solo and Ensemble on Saturday, January 31 There will be bus taking all students to Colerain HS. If you do not ride the bus, you should arrive at least 30 minutes before your event. Percussion – you will need to arrive 1 hour before your event to set up and move equipment. If you are being picked up from Colerain HS after your S&E Event, you must provide documentation to the directors prior to leaving on Saturday morning. Failing to do so and leaving without permission will result in a referral.

To receive your uniform, you must have your $50 rental fee turned in. If you are not in proper uniform including black shoes and black socks, your grade will suffer. Make sure that you represent the Mt. Healthy Band and School District in a great way by being fully prepared!!!
