"During the third Service when the Buddhist nuns led us in the Heart Sutra, I was moved to tears.Though the words were said rapidly and was hard to follow the context of the sutra, the feeling of compassion from the Buddhist nuns reflected back by the circle of pilgrims all in the name of the Lord Buddha atop this Holy Mountain--was magical." B.K.
"Seeing all those different spiritual groups cooperating together for World Peace on a holy mountain...well, it was pretty hard not to be deeply moved by it. And the energy we invoked up there! You know the world felt it. The whole day was such a beautiful experience to be a part of. I only wish the rest of our world could join together as we did. One day, soon enough." O.L
"What a lovely group of photos. I am so glad that people all over the world are thinking about peace and love." M. "The interfaith Pilgrimage on Mount Baldy was an amazing day. Just watching everyone hiking up and praying on this Holy mountain was just an enjoyable sight! The wave of energy we sent out to the world was so needed. I AM PROUD TO BE A PART OF THIS INTERFAITH PILGRIMAGE AND BE PART OF THIS WONDERFUL DAY! THANK YOU AETHERIUS SOCIETY." A.W. "Ever since the Pilgrimage, something has shifted inside me. I feel much clearer about my things and less despondent about the state of the world. It was a life changing experience." Y.N. "A beautiful day! One that will stay with me for a very long time." G.B.
"Thank you one and all for making this a special day. As someone who has been up on this mountain many times over some 37 years, and experienced some "magic" moments and met some of the nicest people coming and going, this was really unique." S.C "The White Magic invoked that day upon Mt. Baldy continues to resound throughout the planes, ever expanding upon the wings of Peace..." R.Q. "The experience will be that of unforgettable...Having been injured (displacing my hip joint) upon arrival to the top made things just a little more of a challenge and coming down without the lift seats turned on was agonizing. My hands blistered by the tree branch I used to help myself down the mountain and my feet blistered by the walk on the way down contributed to my continued agony of my hip that was certainly displaced. Through all this, my thoughts were clear that this event was my payment owed to this sacred mountain perhaps for some past life or present life experience. With each step I thanked the mountain, I asked for forgiveness and I chanted mantra within. A debt owed and payment granted through what became one of the most profound spiritual experiences I had come to know. The top was breathtaking, the views of the valley below, magnificent!...I had finally made it to the top! Wow, little me had made it up there, pain and all! The overwhelming applause within my head perked a rather proud stance and smile. The moment was blissful, sacred and filled with great acceptance. All the moments of frustration, agony and pain seemed quickly wiped clean by the spirit of the mountain as it echoed our plight for peace, unity, healing and love. Hands together we prayed, unbiased of religion, color or creed we became one and you could hear the loving voices of prayer colored by our multiple religious backgrounds. Our hearts glowing in the purity of love that traveled wholeheartedly sending peace to our Mother Earth across distant lands." A.O. "I would like to offer my heartfelt thanks to all who helped make this pilgrimage possible. It was very hard to control my emotions at the awesome sight of over 170 pilgrims chanting mantra and participating in a most powerful set of the Twelve Blessings. This was a magnificent demonstration of your devotion and loyalty to the cause of our beloved Master. I'm proud to stand shoulder to shoulder and head held high with the likes of you." W. |
