Instructions are for patients using a debit or credit card (NOTE: If you are using a flexible spending account card through your Employer, please bring with you at time of appointment, as these cards must be swiped and can not be processed over the internet). Payment is processed through Paypal using either a credit or a debit card. You may also access funds through your own Paypal account if preferred. Simply click on the method preferred below (all your financial information remains confidential and secure). Using this method allows for prepayment per visit. If you add on any services, such as herbs or massage, this will be billed separately and you can bring cash or check at the time of your visit. If you wish to pay at the office, your credit card can also be processed in person. Receipts can be provided in the form of a Superbill that will document your treatment(s) and ensure that is classified as a "reimbursable expense" through the IRS. It is always a good idea to receive receipts for your covered medical expenses for tax filing purposes. If you would like receipts, please inform me so I may assist you. Acupuncture treatment is indeed a covered expense through article 502 of the IRS, making it a tax-deductible service that is covered through many employers' flexible spending plans. If you would like to read more about your covered medical expenses, including acupuncture, please click on http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p502.pdf and then click on "What Medical Expenses are Includible?" which will take you to acupuncture, listed second on the list. |
