Posted below is an example of a typical first grade day.  Please note the times may not always be the same, depending upon when we have our daily special and lunch.   In teaching, science and social studies are interwoven into our Reader's and Writer's Workshop. 

8:30 - 8:50 - Morning Routine  - outdoor meeting, folders, attendance, warm-up

8:50 - 9:05 - Good Morning Circle - greetings, songs, poems, activity, mini-lessons

9:05 - 9:50 - Reader's Workshop

9:50 - 10:05 - Early Recess

10:05- 10:20 - Snack

10:25- 11:10 - Letter, Calendar, Word Wall Words

Writer's Workshop

11:10 - 11:55 - Special

11:55-12:20 - Recess

12:25- 12:50 - Lunch

12:50 - 1:10 - Read Aloud

 1:10- 2:10 - Mathematics
